We had a lot going on while we were in California. Here are a few activities.
Grandpa got stickered by the girls! We got to see so much family. It was a great time.
Melissa gave Haven her first official haircut. She was growing a Missouri mullet and we just couldn't have that. Now she has a curly bob.
We went to the San Diego area for Kaleb's dedication, so we wanted to take advantage of it. Joanne spent Friday afternoon with us at Balboa Park. It is a wonderful place that has museums and beautiful scenery. We also got to meetup with Frank, a friend of Jonathan's from his Point Loma days, for supper. He will not be pictured because I forgot. I also got to see a friend from college. She drove to Lancaster and hung out with me.
In the science museum there was a section for the little kids to explore and play.
This was the extent of Levi's exploring and playing :o)
The Museum of Natural Science had the Body Works display. If you don't know what it is, that is a real human body in that picture. People donated their bodies and they are put on display for learning. You see the muscle, skin, nerves, blood vessels, innards and such. It was fascinating yet disturbing all at the same time.
Jonathan had the wonderful opportunity to dedicate Kaleb. The family gathered near Ramona California. Alan's parent live at the Salvation Army campground there. What a beautiful place! Pictures to come. There was a house that had six rooms and so we all were able to stay at the same place on the campgrounds.
The campground had animals for petting. We were told to stay away from the pigs or we would loose a hand :o)
Here is Levi and Daddy sliding at the camps playground. It ended up being pretty windy and cool, so of course it was a rude awakening when we came back to 90 degree weather.
We had a time of singing hymns. The girls helped grandma play. I was impressed that she could play and have the girls pounding all at the same time.
Alan's parents had a very gentle and beautiful dog named Oreo. Haven warmed up to him even though he was as big as she was. He did not jump, so I think she felt safe.
We were able to meet up with another of Jonathan's college buddies. Brian has a little girl a year older than Haven and a little boy about 4 months older than Levi. Here Haven is crying because she doesn't get the ball all to herself. She really did not get the share concept. Everything is MINE.
The kids did GREAT on each flight. We had a wonderful time with friends and family.
