Mother Daughter outing to Pizza Inn

MOPS had an outing for the kids this past Thursday. They give them a tour of the kitchen and show them how they make the pizzas. Grandma and Grandpa watched Levi so that Haven and I could have a mother/daughter date. Here is our self portrait.

They were given a tour of the fridge and freezer. Haven did not want to go in!

Look in her hands and you will see that the kids got to touch and feel the dough.

Each child got to take a turn at putting the cheese on....

and pepperoni. As you can see, because these were self portraits, I did not quite get the pepperoni shot :o)

They also got to fill their own cups with...

fruit punch.

We have a Papa Murphy's in town now so we thought we would try it. They are a take and bake place. Jonathan's parents and I (in Jonathan's absence) decided to try the stuffed meat lovers. We were in for quite a surprise! The thing was HUGE!

Levi's 1st Birthday

March 6th we celebrated Levi's 1st Birthday. The theme was blocks and balls.

Before the party Jonathan had to put together his birthday gift. Haven was "helping".

The day before I baked, and baked, and baked, and decorated, and decorated, and decorated. All together we baked five cake mixes and around six or seven batches of icing. Here is a three layer cake that was a "block". I spelled Levi around the sides.

I am definitely not detail oriented, so this was not all that "even". I figured he was destroying it anyway! It said Happy Bithday and I realized I forgot the "R".

We ate cake for a week straight :o)

Haven has a lot of new toys to play with now! She confiscated them right away.

Here is Levi's preferred mode of eating. He likes caveman style.

Kicked back content with a full tummy. He ended up spitting the cake up later on daddy's shirt.

Levi cracks us up daily with this "I don't know" or "What?" face.

He didn't dig in, so we were able to salvage some yummy cake for later.

Levi loves to be naked, so we decided to let him run around in his almost birthday suit.

We had blocks on the table, so it was fun entertainment for adults and children alike. This is right before her tall tower fell.

They were creating an equation. How geeky can you be?

Meredith watches Levi most Sunday's while I sing in the worship team.

We had a wonderful time.Not pictured: Aunt Mary Ann and Uncle Charles came down from St. Louis area and both sets of grandparents were there!
