Doggy

Haven was a doggie for two days straight. One day she was Rainbow and the next day she was Dottie. She does not break character very often! She even spoke dog on the phone to Grandma Fry. She also insists we not call her Haven, we must call her by her dog name.

Off to the Zoo!

We got up at the crack of dawn to go to the zoo. If we got there within the first hour, then we could see the stingrays for free. So of course we got up early and traveled to pet the stingrays! It was a fun, if not scary, experience. I know they couldn't sting, but it still was nerve racking.

 The monkey was eating poop. Eeewwww.

 The kids got to see the sea lion show for the first time.

 You can't tell by this picture, but they really enjoyed it. Levi made sure I clapped when everyone else did.

 Levi specifically asked to see the giraffes.

 Every time we go to the zoo, it seems the animals like to poo and pee. This time it was all about the poo. The goats decided to wait until we showed up to go to the bathroom. There were probably five different goats that pooped while we were there!

 We were thrilled to get Levi to brush the goat. He is afraid of everything, so this was a huge step in the right direction.

 Mine and the kids first 3D movie. It was a sad movie about sea turtles (the very beginning some got eaten). I really didn't think it was kid friendly. Haven and Levi had to take off their glasses because the predators scared them.

Yum, Yum? Not really.

The third child, it's just not the same. The first two I was so diligent to start feeding them right at the 6 month mark. Hannah was a few days behind. It just wasn't as urgent the third time around I guess.

This is a very deceptive picture! The only way she opened up was to make her laugh. She really had a hard time catching on, and she still isn't very proficient at it. Slow and steady, but at least she is learning. The past couple of days she has been sticking out her tongue and pushing the food right back out. 

I picked out all the smiling pictures, but really that is rare when we are feeding her. We just tried to get her to smile for the pictures. Normally she has a sour expression on her face :o)

Another picture from when we were at mom and dad's. They slept like that for quite a while.

First Time Bowling!

While staying at mom and dad's we decided to take the kids bowling. They had a hole-free ball that was a five pounder and of course they put up the bumpers for the kids. Did you know that children can gutter ball even with bumpers? Yep, when the ball rolls SUPER Slooooooooowwwwwwww down the bumpers, then at the very end it gutters.

 Most of the time Levi was saying, "Me turn, me turn."

 We had to be careful with Levi and the ball return. The woman warned that it could suck a child in. Of course the ball return was cool to watch, so many times we were telling him to get back.

EEG Day

We took Hannah in for her precautionary EEG. We had no idea what to expect. When we got home from being gone for a week and a half, we had a note in the mail stating she could not sleep for as least four hours before the test, so that she would sleep during the test. Last minute change of plans, since I was planning on taking her up and letting Jonathan watch the kids. There was no way she was going to stay awake for a hour and forty-five minute car ride. Thank goodness our good friend Kelsey was able to come over and watch Haven and Levi! 

So we got to the hospital and they took measurements and marked up her head. The tech then took a q-tip and exfoliated each marked spot (for a better electrode connection). Then they taped approximately twenty electrodes onto her head. She actually did pretty good in the beginning. The tech was impressed.

She became a bit frustrated though.

 The tech then wrapped her head with gauze to keep everything in place. She looked like she had a major head wound. It was pretty cute though.

 Hannah does not take a pacifier unless it is to chew on it, but we were trying anything to keep her settled down.

 I had to feed her to sleep in a dark room and then the tech woke her up after about fifteen minutes. The tech then put a strobe light in front of her and flashed different intervals in the room to measure some more brain wave stuff. After that we were done. Here is Hannah's gooey head after the electrodes were taken off. It took a couple of shampoos to wash it nice and clean. She did such a good job. We will not know the results until next week, but we are sure that she will get the all clear that nothing is wrong!

Fancy

Haven was dressed up in some new play clothes that a friend gave her.  So we will call her Fancy for this post. She was being a horse or a reindeer, I forget which. You can see her rope harness and the clothes basket is her sleigh. Pretty cool.

 Not sure why they are not smiling. Maybe because her load was a bit heavy?
