The only state fair I have been to is the MN State Fair, which is odd considering I do not live in MN and we are FAR away. This will be our second time going. To be honest I go for the food :o) They have a million vendors and it is fun to try new things and get the yummy old standby's too. This year we tried the deep friend pickles and I really enjoyed them. Jonathan and I had a meat kabob that was delicious! Of course the old standbys were the cheese curds (yum!) and the tiny sugar donuts.
Levi and Haven were in their strollers most of the time. There are too many people (tens of thousands) and it would take one second to loose them. The crowd picture below was in a less crowded part.
This year we accidently caught the parade. I didn't even know they had a parade!
Some parade exhibits were downright strange!
There was a chinese dragon that came right up to Haven and scared her. She started bawling.
It is hard to explain, but this guy basically made this wheel turn by riding it and jumping when he got to the ground level. He even balanced on top while it stood still.
We stood in long lines to get the food. I didn't get any pictures of the food booths :o(
Savannah slept pretty much all day long! Here was a rare awake moment.
Haven got to ride exactly two rides. We bought discount tickets and didn't realize that 1. It took a lot of tickets per ride and 2. The adults had to pay too! We were not expecting that since at the Mall of America the adults ride free. Levi was upset he didn't get to go, but Haven had a blast. I loved watching her face smile from having so much fun.
