MN State Fair - Vacation Part 3

The only state fair I have been to is the MN State Fair, which is odd considering I do not live in MN and we are FAR away. This will be our second time going. To be honest I go for the food :o) They have a million vendors and it is fun to try new things and get the yummy old standby's too. This year we tried the deep friend pickles and I really enjoyed them. Jonathan and I had a meat kabob that was delicious! Of course the old standbys were the cheese curds (yum!) and the tiny sugar donuts.
Levi and Haven were in their strollers most of the time. There are too many people (tens of thousands) and it would take one second to loose them. The crowd picture below was in a less crowded part.
This year we accidently caught the parade. I didn't even know they had a parade!
Some parade exhibits were downright strange!
There was a chinese dragon that came right up to Haven and scared her. She started bawling.
It is hard to explain, but this guy basically made this wheel turn by riding it and jumping when he got to the ground level. He even balanced on top while it stood still.
We stood in long lines to get the food. I didn't get any pictures of the food booths :o(
Savannah slept pretty much all day long! Here was a rare awake moment.
Haven got to ride exactly two rides. We bought discount tickets and didn't realize that 1. It took a lot of tickets per ride and 2. The adults had to pay too! We were not expecting that since at the Mall of America the adults ride free. Levi was upset he didn't get to go, but Haven had a blast. I loved watching her face smile from having so much fun.

Mall of America - Vacation Part 2

One night we went to the Mall of America and let Levi and Haven ride the rides. There were quite a few rides for them among the rides for the big kids and adults. We didn't get very good pictures. Even though the rides were indoors it was dark because it was night time. I think they use sky lights to light the place up. They had a blast. Well Haven did. Levi didn't like to be strapped in, but once the rides started he did just fine. I didn't ride on too many because I get dizzy pretty easily.

Jimmy was going to ride this little roller coaster with Haven, but it was not made for large leg muscles, so there was a last minute change and I had to ride.

Loving Savannah - Vacation Part 1

The kids LOVED Miss Savannah! It was amazing to see Levi do the happy dance every time Amie brought Savannah into the room. Of course Haven wanted to hold her and Levi kissed on her, but mainly loved poking her in the face to show his affection.

One time Amie was bring Savannah into the room so Levi made a bee line for the mat that Amie had been laying Savannah on. He climbed in ready to love on her. It was so cute.

Look at that happy smile!

Summer Fun

The stylish Miss Haven. I need to get her a pair of her own!

They love the car at the grocery store.
We haven't been to the park too many times this summer, but we did find a nice night to go recently. I am looking forward to fall weather so we can go more often. The kids get overheated really easy in the summer.
Haven's first time on the tire swing. She loved it.
They both love the merry-go-round. For some reason Levi had his mouth open in exclamation most of the time he was on the ride.

Back Yard Bible Club

Once a month our church has sponsored a Back Yard Bible Club in a field in one of the neighborhoods in our town. This past weekend was our second one. Here are a few pictures of the kids enjoying the fun.
Here Levi is enjoying a snow cone. He ate them all day long and loved every minute of it. Our friend Kelsey watched over him that day.

Haven is doing her craft. Lindsey is helping her out.

Levi keeping himself occupied.

Jonathan helped out with games and he has a super hero shirt on for the skit he did. Haven was snuggling up to daddy during games.

There were water balloons and Levi was trying his hardest to bite one. He never did get one popped.

I told Haven to smile and this is what she came up with.

Our fairy prince

Haven has a pair of wings, and Levi has recently been asking to wear them. He actually has worn them more than Haven I think :o)

Some catching up to do!

Haven in a Cinderella cleaning moment, and then transformed into a beautiful ballerina!  A rare ponytail moment too. Usually it is pigtails and even then they don't last all that long.

Aren't they just too cute.

Levi with his wild post bath rocker hair. Poor boy has to play on pink drums. He is secure in his boyhood.

He lost his ball.

Levi imitates most everything. Here Haven was playing with her pillow and blanket, so of course Levi had to lay down too. This was a happy moment, after much talking. Usually Haven wants him off because he is messing up and wrinkling her stuff. Or he sits his rear right on top of the pillow so that she can't lay down.

Haven wanted me to take a picture of her and not Levi, so as you can see as I continued to take pictures she got more and more upset.

Levi already sporting a goatee at his age!

Daddy/daughter moment.
